The study compared the effects of treating wheat straw with urea and ammonia on sheep intake, digestibility, and performance. Both treatments improved the straw's nitrogen content and digestibility equally well. Adding water did not significantly affect the improvements. Lambs fed treated straw showed higher daily weight gains compared to those fed untreated straw.
