Phosphorus Adsorption Breakthrough Promises Greener Farming, Cleaner Water
The article introduces a statistical method called multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) to analyze data on phosphorus adsorption. By comparing MANOVA with a simpler method called analysis of variance (ANOVA), the researchers show that MANOVA can detect differences that ANOVA might miss due to its multidimensional approach. They apply MANOVA to real field data and find that variations in phosphorus adsorption can be influenced by both natural variability and different treatments.
