The article reviews the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), a method under the Kyoto Protocol to reduce global warming by rewarding emission reductions. CDM issues carbon credits for emission cuts achieved by projects in developing countries. While over 400 studies on CDM have been done, there's no comprehensive overview of its effects. The goal is to study how CDM contributes to sustainable development, especially in energy, and its impacts on different areas.
