Revolutionizing Maize Production: Boosting Yields in Western Ethiopia!
The study looked at how different ways of preparing the soil and adding nitrogen fertilizer affect maize production in Western Ethiopia. They tested three tillage methods and three levels of nitrogen on maize yields at five locations over four years. The results showed that grain yield varied from 4649 to 8030 kg per hectare, with an average of 6104 kg per hectare. The researchers found that grain yield was closely linked to factors like total biomass yield and seed weight. This suggests that using the right tillage method and nitrogen levels can help improve maize production in the region.
