A new method was developed to improve accuracy when measuring how much light passes through materials that scatter light at low angles. By adding a diffuser between the sample and the measuring device, the scattered light is spread out more evenly, reducing errors caused by absorption around the measuring port. This method was tested on patterned glass samples and showed a significant improvement in accuracy.
