College students from Cape Verde and Portugal were asked to rank romantic acts in terms of importance. Men in Portugal ranked "making love" as the most important act, while women ranked it fifth. In Cape Verde, both men and women ranked it third. Overall, there were no significant differences between men and women or between students from Cape Verde and Portugal in their rankings of romantic acts.
