New apparatus measures solar transmittance of large samples with precision.
A new device using an integrating sphere was created to measure how much sunlight passes through different types of samples at different angles. This device can test both flat and curved samples that are too big for a regular machine. The measurements from this new device were compared to those from a standard machine, and they matched up well. Sometimes, errors can happen when the sample is put in or taken out of the device, but a way to fix these errors was figured out.
