A wetland was built to clean up polluted stream water flowing into Lake Sihwa. The wetland's performance was studied right after it was built. The wetland did not remove pollutants as well as other wetlands in cities, but it still helped reduce pollution in the lake. The wetland needs better management to work more effectively.
