Haddock and whiting were studied in tanks where they were fed different amounts of squid. The weight gain of the fish increased as they were fed more, but the rate of length increase leveled off at a maximum level. Tank size and stock density did not affect the results. The fish's condition and girth also increased with higher feeding rates.
