Zinc deficiency is a common issue in lowland rice in Asia, especially in fields with high pH, low zinc levels, and poor drainage. Researchers found that using zinc sulfate, zinc chloride, zinc oxide, and FTE in the soil, as well as dipping seedling roots in a zinc oxide solution, effectively corrected the deficiency.
