Optimizing Sunflower Growth: Boost Seed Yield with Nitrogen and Sulphur!
Sunflower plants were studied to see how they respond to different levels of nitrogen and sulfur in the soil. The researchers found that adding sulfur increased the amount of sulfur in sunflower seeds. The best combination for high seed yield was 90 mg of sulfur per kg of soil along with 200 mg of nitrogen per kg of soil. The more nitrogen and sulfur added, the more sunflower seeds were produced. The study showed that sunflower plants need a certain amount of sulfur to grow well, and adding the right amounts of sulfur and nitrogen can increase seed yield.
