Software metrics are important for measuring the quality of programs. A new method using measurement theory has been introduced to describe the properties and scales of these metrics. The approach can categorize software complexity metrics as ordinal, interval, or ratio scales. The Metric of McCabe was used to demonstrate this concept. These findings are crucial for choosing the right software metrics for measuring software quality and for creating tools that can evaluate software effectively.
