Virtual reality and augmented reality were tested for training industrial maintenance and assembly tasks. Expert technicians were split into groups using VR, AR, or traditional methods. AR training had fewer errors than traditional methods, while VR training took longer. Both VR and AR were effective, but AR may be better for this type of training.
