Intercropping Brachiaria Grasses Boosts High-Quality Forage Production in Offseason.
The study looked at how different types of Brachiaria grasses grown alongside corn can produce high-quality forage in the offseason. They found that Brachiaria brizantha and Brachiaria decumbens had the highest dry matter production. Among the Brachiaria brizantha cultivars, Marandu, Xaraes, and Piata were the best for providing high-quality food compared to MG-4, Brachiaria decumbens, and Brachiaria ruziziensis.
