The researchers compared different equations to estimate evapotranspiration in the south of Iran. They found that the original Hargreaves equation worked best in humid areas with low windspeed, while a new equation including rainfall data was more accurate in arid and semi-arid regions. A new equation was also developed for specific stations in the south of Iran using temperature and rainfall data.
