Gifted siblings share self-perceptions and learning styles, study finds.
The study compared gifted and nongifted siblings in secondary school to see if they had different self-perceptions and learning style preferences. The researchers found that there were no significant differences between the two groups in terms of how they saw themselves or how they liked to learn. It didn't matter if the siblings were of the same gender or not, or if they were siblings of a male or female gifted student. Overall, the study showed that siblings of gifted students are similar to their nongifted siblings in how they view themselves and how they prefer to learn.
