Adaptive interfaces aim to better meet individual users' needs. This study introduces a new approach where users can instruct the system on how to adapt itself, instead of relying on automatic changes or manual adjustments. The methods involve modifying adaptation strategies and changing underlying models. The research demonstrates this approach in an adaptive action prompting environment.
