Optimal planting time boosts rice yield and quality for higher harvests.
Planting T. Aman rice variety BR11 (Mukta) in early August with 100-120 kg N/ha in three splits gives the highest yield and best seed quality. Early or late planting dates result in lower yields due to adverse environmental conditions during the reproductive phase. The number of panicles/m2, percentage of unfilled grain, and individual grain weight all contribute to higher yields with increased nitrogen levels. The study suggests transplanting rice in the first week of August for optimal results.
