The scientists developed a process to make pure hydrogen from gases like biogas using special cells. They made tubular cells with a thin layer of YSZ and tested them with simulated gas. The cells worked well at 730 degrees C, producing hydrogen at low voltage. They then connected 7 cells together and successfully produced hydrogen from biogas at low voltage.
