The article explores how asylum support workers in the UK understand their roles in helping dispersed asylum seekers. Through interviews with these workers, it was found that they constantly navigate their support role within a system focused on control. The support for asylum seekers has shifted from mainstream social work to specialized asylum support teams over the years.
