The article introduces more mother wavelets into optical wavelet transform to improve its signal processing ability. By obtaining 2D approximations of wavelet functions and using a cascade algorithm, 1D approximations of scaling and wavelet functions are computed. This allows for the construction of 2D scaling and wavelet function approximations. The introduced mother wavelets are separable, leading to the creation of separable optical wavelet transform. This approach expands the selection of wavelets available for optical wavelet transform, enhancing its capabilities similar to discrete wavelet transform.
