Urban Growth and Climate Change Threaten Water Supply in South Korea
The article discusses how a system dynamics approach was used to create a water supply plan for the Han River basin in South Korea. The goal was to evaluate long-term water availability considering future uncertainties. The model showed that water shortages in the basin are mainly caused by population growth in cities and climate change. By using this approach, decision makers and stakeholders can better understand different scenarios and make informed decisions for sustainable water supply planning.
