A new solar cooling system using special collectors was tested in China. The system can make cold water using hot water from the sun. In one system, the chiller can make cold water from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm with an average efficiency of 0.16. In another system, the chiller can make cold water from 11:00 am to 3:30 pm with an average efficiency of 0.19. This means the system can cool buildings using sunlight efficiently.
