The voting tools commonly used by researchers in politics may not accurately reflect the views of women legislators. Important issues to women are often left out of these tools, making it hard for researchers to study women in politics effectively. By looking at the content of these tools, it was found that votes on controversial bills concerning women were frequently excluded. This suggests that alternative methods may be needed to study women's perspectives in politics.
