Population growth not sole cause of Indonesian deforestation, policy change needed
The loss of forests in Indonesia is a big problem because it affects the economy and jobs. Some people think that the main reason for this is the growing population, especially small farmers. But after looking at different evidence, it turns out that population growth is just one part of the problem, not the main cause. Other things like policies and practices also play a big role in deforestation. So, to stop the forests from disappearing, we need to focus on more than just how many people live there.
