Laccase enzyme boosts cotton bleaching, achieving whiter fabrics in less time!
Laccase enzymes were used to make cotton fabric whiter during the bleaching process. By treating the fabric with laccase before using hydrogen peroxide, the fabric became as white as if it had gone through two rounds of peroxide bleaching. Treating the fabric with laccase for 10 minutes at 60°C and pH 5 improved its whiteness before and after peroxide bleaching.
