New Environmental Measures to Safeguard Urban Areas from Pollution Risks
The environmental assessment for the Tai Basin Urban Environment Project outlines measures to reduce negative impacts. During design and construction, steps like controlling water discharge, treating odorous gases, and managing noise will be taken. Temporary treatment facilities will treat wastewater, preventing contamination. Proper disposal of construction debris and contaminated soil will be ensured. During operation, emergency measures will prevent direct wastewater discharge. Domestic wastewater will be treated before release, and work sites will be located away from residential areas. Frequent spraying of sites and roads, along with replanting of trees, will follow construction.
