The article introduces a new language for creating models of businesses and their IT systems, called enterprise models. These models help improve a company's competitiveness by integrating its resources. The language is based on Living System Theory and the RM-ODP standard. The models are hierarchical and object-oriented representations of enterprises. The researchers also developed a web-based CAD tool to create these models.
