Closed-circuit drip irrigation saves water and boosts profits for poor farmers
The researchers evaluated a closed circuits drip irrigation system using a simulation program under an automation controller. This system helps save water and improve crop production by automating irrigation schedules. The study found that the closed circuits system with a 60m lateral length had the lowest head losses compared to other methods tested. This technology is cost-effective, especially for farmers in areas with limited water resources, and can modernize agriculture practices while maximizing profits.
