New sorghum variety boosts forage production and quality for farmers.
The study compared different types of sorghum plants to see which ones were best for making forage. They looked at how much forage each type produced and how nutritious it was. The Hegari sorghum was the top performer, producing the most forage with good protein and ash content. Noor sorghum was also good for forage. F-214 and F-9917 sorghum had lower protein and ash content, so they weren't as good for forage. Overall, Hegari sorghum is the best choice for making forage because it has high dry matter and good nutrition.
