Dagu River Water Quality Decline in Water-Rich Periods Revealed
The researchers used a new tool called the Comprehensive Water Quality Identification Index to assess the water quality of Dagu River in China. They collected data over a year and found that the water quality met regional standards, but was worst during the water-rich period. The lower reaches had worse water quality than the upper reaches, which matched the actual situation. This study suggests that the Comprehensive Water Quality Identification Index is useful for evaluating river water quality.
