The study looked at how education and field of study affect the pay gap between men and women in Canada. It found that the subjects women study in college play a big role in the pay difference. While differences in education levels didn't explain much of the pay gap in 1985 and 1990, women's increasing education levels compared to men have helped reduce the gap over time.
