Boar semen cryopreservation breakthrough boosts fertility success rates.
Researchers developed a method to freeze boar semen using straws. They mixed the semen with special solutions, cooled it slowly, and then froze it in liquid nitrogen. Thawing the semen in warm water resulted in high sperm motility, intact cell membranes, and mostly normal sperm shapes after freezing.
