Droughts in Bangladesh Decrease Wheat Production by 17.4% on Average
Climate change is affecting wheat production in drought-prone areas of Bangladesh. A study looked at 100 farmers over two years, one with drought and one without. Wheat production decreased by 17.4% during drought years. Factors like seed, pesticide, and irrigation costs influence wheat production efficiency. Education, family size, and farming experience also play a role. Farmers can increase wheat production by 33% in normal years and 14% in drought years by using resources efficiently.
