Hydrofluorocarbons with CF(3) groups are being tested to see if they harm the ozone layer. Scientists measured reactions involving CF(3) to check their impact on ozone. The results show that CF(3) in hydrofluorocarbons doesn't significantly harm the ozone layer. So, the ozone depletion risk from CF(3) groups is very low.
