The study looked at how bermudagrass responds to nitrogen fertilizer. By using a mathematical model, the researchers found that both Midland and Tifton 44 bermudagrass need 92 kg of nitrogen per hectare to reach half of their maximum growth. The two grass varieties had similar responses to nitrogen, with differences in yield and nitrogen uptake.
