Women outshine men in cooperation, paving the way for societal harmony
Human cooperation in social dilemmas was studied using the Snowdrift game and the Prisoner's Dilemma. The Snowdrift game led to higher cooperation levels than the Prisoner's Dilemma. Strategies like Tit-for-Tat and Pavlov were successful in both games. Female players cooperated more in the Prisoner's Dilemma and used successful strategies more often than male players. The willingness to cooperate depends on the type of social dilemma and the individuals involved. The Snowdrift game reflects social dilemmas more realistically because cooperators receive immediate benefits and share costs.
