Satisfying basic needs brings more happiness than increasing income, study finds.
The more money you make doesn't always mean you'll be happier. This is known as the "happiness paradox". One reason for this could be that meeting basic needs like food and shelter makes us happier than buying fancy things. Once our basic needs are met, extra money doesn't make us as happy. This could explain why there's a limit to how much money can boost our happiness.
