Isotope separation breakthrough could revolutionize nuclear energy and medical treatments.
Researchers improved a method called Q-cascades for separating isotopes. Instead of using the same setting for all parts of the separation process, they tested different settings on separate sections. The goal was to make the separation process more efficient. By doing this, they were able to get better results in isolating different types of Cd isotopes. This new approach allowed for more precise separation of Cd isotopes compared to the traditional method.
