Vitamin D Supplementation Boosts Grip Strength Recovery After Wrist Fracture
The study looked at how vitamin D levels affect grip strength recovery in women after a wrist fracture. They studied 70 women over 50 years old and found that vitamin D levels did not directly impact grip strength in the injured hand, but higher levels were linked to better grip strength in the uninjured hand. Younger age, vitamin D supplements, and better wrist movement were associated with improved grip strength recovery. This suggests that vitamin D supplements may help women recover grip strength after a wrist fracture.
