Mushroom treatment boosts wheat straw nutrition for healthier livestock diets!
The study looked at how adding a type of mushroom called Pleurotus florida or urea to wheat straw affects its nutritional value for animals. They found that adding the mushroom increased the straw's digestibility and nutrient content, while reducing its fiber content. However, adding urea alone also improved the straw's digestibility and feeding value. So, both methods can make wheat straw better for animals to eat.
