Frozen Embryos Offer Promising Pregnancy Outcomes, Boosting IVF Accessibility
The study looked at how well frozen blastocysts (early embryos) survive and develop after being transferred into women's wombs. They found that using a quick freezing method called vitrification with cryoloop resulted in high survival rates of the embryos. When these embryos were transferred, the pregnancy and implantation rates were similar to using fresh embryos. The babies born from these frozen embryos had a low rate of birth defects, showing that this freezing method is safe for use in fertility treatments.
