The goal of the study was to improve the efficiency of queries in data warehouses, specifically for OLAP queries. The researchers developed a new method called dynamic selection Strategy, based on the PBUS algorithm, to select materialized views of multidimensional data. This method takes into account the dynamic changes of queries, making it more effective than previous solutions like PBS and PBUS algorithms.
