The researchers developed a new method called IT2-fsQCA to analyze data and find connections between different factors and outcomes. They used this method to study the Breakdown of Democracy in European countries between World Wars 1 and 2. By using IT2 FSs, which are better at handling uncertainty, they were able to get more accurate results compared to using traditional methods.
