The article discusses the idea of creating a more efficient and secure land registration system in Sweden called a legal coordinated cadastre. This system would use boundary point coordinates as conclusive evidence of property boundaries, aiming to streamline land management and planning processes. Implementing this system would pose challenges in technical, economic, and legal aspects. A doctoral study at Lund University is currently analyzing the potential consequences of this new system, with a focus on legislation and legal security for both the public sector and private interests.
