The SEBS model was tested using data from field experiments in China to estimate heat fluxes. Results showed that SEBS accurately estimated sensible and latent heat flux on winter-wheat fields and bare soil, with better performance on the former. Sensible heat flux estimates were more precise than latent heat flux estimates. The model was most sensitive to available energy, followed by surface-air temperature difference and aerodynamic resistance.
