New study reveals key hormones that control pituitary gland function.
The study looked at how different fragments of a hormone called TRH affect the release of TSH and PRL from rat pituitary cells in a lab setting. They found that only TRH and pro-TRH could stimulate the release of TSH and PRL, while other fragments did not have the same effect. This suggests that TRH and pro-TRH can trigger the release of these hormones from the pituitary gland.
