Higher education is important for getting a good job, especially for the middle class. Tuition fees and tests are not the main factors in class differences; motivation plays a bigger role. Even if access to higher education was more equal, it might not solve inequality issues in American society. The main problem is inequality, not lack of mobility. Measures to address one may not necessarily fix the other.
