Sudan's Growing Population Driving Desertification Crisis: Study
Desertification in Sudan is a big problem, with about 5 x 10 5 km 2 of land affected. The increase in human and livestock activity has made the situation worse, leading to over cultivation, overgrazing, and deforestation. The variability of rainfall in the region also makes it more vulnerable to desertification. Controlling desertification in Sudan is important to protect the land and people living there.
