The study analyzed catch data from tuna fishing vessels in the Indian Ocean using different types of floating devices. They found that skipjack tuna was the most commonly caught species, but yellowfin and bigeye tuna were also targeted. In addition to these, twelve other species were caught as by-catch during fishing operations.
